Some of Our Chimney Services

Chimney Rebuild

If you live an older property, then it is most probable that even if not used now, it has had a lot of use previously.  In the first half of the 20th century, chimneys burned at extreme temperatures due to them being used for coal and coke fires. This extreme heat often resulted in misshaping of the stack. If you notice a misshaping, then it is a sign that your chimney stack requires a bit of TLC. If you notice that your stack is showing signs of bowing, then we can help. We can do a complete stack rebuild, or if caught early enough repair it before it before serious damage is done.

Re-flaunching Pots & Capping

When your chimney is no longer used it is not something that should be left unattended. Eventually (if used or not), the elements will make their mark and cause leaks or worse still, it could become a new nesting place for some local pigeons. We are specialists in re-flaunching of pots, and we are able to supply caps in a range of colours that will match the aesthetics of the property. If you are no longer using your chimney, you may want to also consider removal. We can help you with this also. We can safely disassemble your current chimney, remove all debris and fully seal off the area. We also provide a professional roof cleaning service, which, if done at the same time, will give your property a completely new look.

Chimney Repointing

When the bricks become loose on your chimney, which they will eventually do, it is repaired professionally. As a rule of thumb, your chimney should be examined and repointed every 25 -30 years.  When DBF Property Services repoint chimneys, we ensure that we grind out at least 15mm, thus ensuring we have removed all potential weak mortar and repoint with a 3:1 sand/cement mix, ensuring it is robust and is made to last for the foreseeable future. Our roof repair services start at only £99 and we guarantee to not be beaten on professionalism.
